You know people use the term spring fever a lot so you never really think anything of it, but oh my god people here have seriously got spring fever. The amount of insane conversations and encounters I have had today is too many to count. I will try and remember a few of the truly exceptional ones.
Had my first conversation with a girl all year who is in my class, this started because I was standing in lab waiting for my dna sample to be ready and she just started to tap on my insulin pump like people tap on fish tanks. I turned to her and she says "what does this do" and continues to tap on it, seriously what the hell. She then tells me all about her medical history and her brothers.
One boy who for some reason had not shaved like half his face told me all about how he bought a $500 guitar even though he can't play it nor has he ever played one. While I was having this conversation with him, the two other guys at the table were trying to hit a high C because they found out I used to sing opera.
Another guy some how won campus cutie (something I didn't even know we had) and was proudly wearing a tag proclaiming this. When he messed up a procedure in lab the professor let t slide because "you get slack today because you're so cute"
When did this all become normal!!! I swear someone put something in the water that made everyone go completely insane.
I finally have my song ready to sign for my asl final so that's exciting. I think that is all for today.
"So we're going to be walking, and you'll notice I walk pretty fast. But we're in New York, and you're supposed to walk like you know exactly where you're going in life and nothing is in your way. Because if you slow down you'll get mugged... It's dog eat dog, people."
