Welcome to day 10 of BEDA we have reached our second Sunday, which of course means a second Sunday Observation/Question day wooooooh! ...is not one else excited? aw
So I stayed up until 2am finishing my reports last night but that meant that I had a lot of free time this Sunday which for some reason I decided to go waaaaay back in time and watch some old youtube videos. This is going to sound really strange but up until last year I didn't have one friend in college so I spent a lot of time on the internet and that is when I got into things like the vlogbrothers and my mane obsession the fiveawesomegirls it is going to sound SUPER creepy and sad but I almost felt like those girls were my friends, I got to watch someone do exciting things and talk about their day and it like kept me going though the tough stuff. Also they were part of this community that I so wanted to be a part of but just couldn't break through my shyness to be a part of but I could at least be an observer. So with that being said I spent a lot of today watching old youtube videos like really old. Here are some of my favorites from today that I forgot how funny there were, here is some classic John, and some great 5ag gold staring Kristina Horner. Ok that is enough said self reflection for now. Though this has sparked my interest again back in wanting to do music again and maybe finally put more then one video up on youtube. When I graduated from highschool, I won the music prize I was in 4 different music groups and had toured Europe to sing, now I don't go on this rant just to highlight my own accomplishments but I point to it just to make it clear that music was not just a fun pastime it was my entire life. But going into college I had two choices, I could try and do music a career my mother was successful in but had always told me was a super cruel business or go down my own path and pursue veterinary medicine. There was no in between with the school I chose it was either music full time of biology full time. So I chose biology which I'm not saying was the wrong choice because obviously in the long run I want to be a veterinarian but I still miss music growing up I was always the music person that was my defining characteristic. I don't fit with biology people I know this, I'm nerdy but just not quite in the right way. So that random rant was my way of saying with school winding down and the fact that there will most likely be a year between more school (sigh another rant for another day) I want to get back into my music and hopefully into video blogging. The only problem...I have no idea how the link between music and the digital world works, I don't even own a video camera (even though I really want one) and I have a key board but it needs a midi cabal but my computer doesn't have a midi port so this is all just super confusing. So I have the passion but not the knowledge which is just frustrating.
I think that rant is going to be it for today, I have some laundry to be folding and a quiz to study for and I'm sure there is a plethora of other boring things I need to do. Until tomorrow!
