An Actual Adventure

So today was quite a day, I am currently taking a break from playing Aragorns Quest for the wii to describe this insane day.

I awoke to no power in my apartment and waited for Momo to wake up so she could come rescue me from this prison. We then decided today since there were multiple tornado warnings we should drive half an hour away to the giant outdoor mall.

But first I had such a headache from the pressure I had to get something from the pharmacy. So my face was swollen, I couldn't open my eyes all the way and I approach the counter with a bottle of advil, some eyedrops, and a diet coke. When paying I had to have Momo read the screen for me while I paid. Pretty sure the check out guy thought I was hung over. So then we headed to the outdoor mall. All was well, I bought a pretty dress for graduation and got a present for my mother. I also had a conversation with one of the clerks about lord of the rings and that awesome Hobbit vlog Peter Jackson posted a few days ago. It was just starting to get dark and ominous outside when I check my e-mail to find an email from my school saying "a tornado has touched down, seek shelter immediately" and a email from my apartment complex saying the outdoor sirens had been going off and everyone needed to seek shelter in the stairwell.

We were safe and sound 30 minutes away but right then it started to rain heavily. We decided it was time to head back. We got SOAKing wet running through the rain and got to the car. As we headed to the highway the rain picked up, we couldn't see an inch in front of our faces, everyone was pulling over to the side of the road we crawled to the exit and got off to wait out the worse of the rain. We made it back to our town and the tornado had left so we continued our day of shopping.

Now I am sitting here avoiding going home because I fear I may still have no power so back to my video game.

UPDATE:so I arrived home at 12:30am and turned on my hallway light (yay!) but then waled into my room and there was NO power. I even tried to be all ms. fix it and opened the braker box and flipped the little fuse but nothing. So I am sitting here typing my flashlight because for some reason there is power everywhere but my room. I put in a work order to have it fixed but lord I don't know if they work on Sundays and I cannot go an entire day without power I might lose my mind. I'm losing it right now and it is 1am, I should be asleep but I don't want to sleep. I'm afraid since my cell will probably be dead in the morning and I can't set an alarm I just wont wake up. Gah I want power back!!!!

Sorry for all the emotion

I know I posted a super short blog post yesterday and promised a longer one today, but unfortunately I had a really bad day and to avoid saying something I will regret later tonight's BEDA will be short.

Tomorrow is Friday which is exciting because that means the weekend will be happening, I need a break from life anyway.

This new vlog from The Hobbit came out today which was amazing, I need some time to process it before I say anything. I am a super lord of the rings fan girl. Last new years eve, my friend and I instead of going out stayed at her place and watched all three extended versions of the movies in one sitting, and we have plans to do this again but with the commentary because the commentary is amazing. I have a cardboard cutout of Aragorn in my basement which is known as "mordor' so I am SUPER excited for the hobbit.

Rainy Day Woes

So last night as I was trying to watch television the weatherman cut in to inform me of a tornado heading my way...things I will not miss when I graduate: having to set up a tornado bunker in my bathtub.

So remember that school work that was giving me the evil eye, well I succeeded in doing something with it...
well I managed to organize it into a nice pile last night...and that is about as far with it as I have gotten with it. Now the pile is back on my bed and I did do something...I wrote an intro for my evolution lab and my methods section but that is as far as I got, doing t-tests and logarithmic things are not my thing. Wow things are not my thing, I am super witty right now. I think my neurons are not firing so fast today, this could be because I have watched four hours of MTVs tru life today. Ok..this is going nowhere fast I am going to come back to this post later (5pm).

Ok it is now 8:30pm and I am a bit recharged, I took a break from these silly papers and made dinner (Balsamic Chicken with Pilafe) here doesn't it look good?

Food is a funny thing that meal tasted good, I ate it in about 10 minutes. To make it I had to cut an onion, cook the chicken, boil chicken broth and simmer rice, and make a balsamic sauce. This all took about an hour in total not to mention the clean up what with a pot, two pans, a plate, a bowl, countless silverware, and the general dirtiness of cooking. Just an observation no point to it just thought I would point it out. Also another food related observation. about 2 months ago I cut my finger with the cardboard of a chewy bar box right where the knuckle bends on the inside and it hurt like hell and staid open for like 3 weeks because it was where my finger bent, well I bought my first box of chewy bars since the incidence and did the exact same thing again but deeper and now it is bleeding, apparently I should never buy chewy bars.

It is currently raining so hard here I am considering starting to build an arc I wonder how much work that would take? Round up some of the squirrels and ducks and maybe the angry swans. The rain always makes my wrist worse. It feels so much later then it is to me, does anyone else have that problem? I almost never feel like it is the time it actually is I always think it is earlier or later it is just so odd. As I sit here I had a mini panic attack because I thought omg, it's 11pm at night and I still have so much work to do and it will never get done at this hour, well it is 9pm so in fact I do have more time so I guess that means I should get back to that work I have procrastinated enough for one day. BEDA day 9 is complete I shall see you again tomorrow!
